The company

oneIDentity+ GmbH was founded in 2017 as a subsidiary of TecAlliance GmbH. Based in Ismaning, oneIDentity+ GmbH pursues the goal of offering a neutral service platform for the standardized identification and traceability of parts, components and products of all kinds across all industries. Global standards for better traceability

GS1 Germany supports companies in all industries in applying modern communication and process standards in practice to improve the efficiency of business processes. In Germany, the company also takes care of the worldwide overlap-free GS1 article numbering system, which forms the basis of the bar code also used for oneIDentity+.

As part of the international network “Global Standards One” (GS1), GS1 Germany accompanies the development and implementation of open, cross-industry and globally valid standards. As the second largest of more than 110 country organizations, GS1 Germany develops process and application recommendations and provides implementation support. For specific requirements, service providers of the GS1 Germany Solution Partner Program, which also includes oneIDentity+, provide support.

Driving the Digital Automotive Aftermarket

TecAlliance has been one of the world’s leading solution providers for the independent automotive aftermarket for almost 20 years. It operates one of Europe’s leading information and communication platforms in the automotive sector, providing data and solutions to facilitate day-to-day operations in the international aftermarket. This includes item details for 6.6 million spare parts from over 700 brands and 3.9 million repair instructions.

TecAlliance GmbH bundles the competencies of TecDoc, TecCom, TecRMI and Headline.
With permanent development and definition of industry standards, TecAlliance makes collaboration within the industry more efficient, effective and transparent. The same applies to oneIDentity+ GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of TecAlliance GmbH.

The cloud solution in the background

The solution oneIDentity+ uses the basic functions of the High Performance Cloud of the Honeywell Track & Trace Division Movilizer in the background. This high-performance cloud service is characterized by high flexibility (interfaces to SAP, etc., support for various mobile operating systems, rapid creation of value-added services) and easy distribution and scalability. Among the users of this service, well-known customers such as Coca Cola, Daimler and General Electric.

It increases the profitability of large manufacturing and service companies by enabling them to deploy flexible and dynamic strategies in the field. Unlike other competitors that offer siloed solutions, Movilizer Cloud connects and orchestrates players across enterprise boundaries. This also benefits oneIDentity+ customers – for example, in the traceability of spare parts and tools.

Digitization and
Industry 4.0

The German Engineering Federation (VDMA) is Europe’s largest industrial association with around 3200 members and represents the interests of the medium-sized capital goods industry. In Germany, the mechanical and plant engineering sector is the largest industrial employer with more than 1 million employees and sales of around 218 billion euros. Every two years, the VDMA conducts a study on the subject of product and brand piracy among its member companies.

The damage estimated by companies runs into the billions every year, for the German mechanical and plant engineering industry alone. oneIDentity+ is a member of the VDMA’s Software Association and works on interdisciplinary solutions to improve traceability and reduce product piracy. In addition, oneIDentity+ GmBH is actively involved in the working groups Maritime Systems and Equipment, Wind Energy and Medical Technology.

More plagiarism protection with CLEPA

CLEPA (European Association of Automotive Suppliers) represents more than 3,000 companies in the European automotive supply industry, employing 5,000,000 people. These companies invest more than 20 billion euros a year in research and development to offer their customers solutions for safe, intelligent and sustainable mobility.

Analogous to the VDMA, traceability and protection against product and brand piracy is also an important topic for CLEPA, on which numerous events and campaigns are held. For example, as a co-initiator of the MAPP initiative, CLEPA has been supporting oneIDentity+ in the fight against product piracy for years.

Through events such as CLEPA Anti Counterfeit Day, a clear message is sent against product piracy and industry-wide strategies are promoted to combat it.

Together against product piracy

The Manufacturers Against Product Piracy (MAPP) industry initiative was founded by members of CLEPA to combat piracy and share knowledge about product and brand protection. In order to distinguish genuine from counterfeit products more quickly, the participants in the initiative mark their original products with a serialized DataMatrix or QR code. This unique MAPP code can be verified at any time with oneIDentity+, the first IT-based standard solution for the automotive aftermarket industry. In seconds, the user knows whether it is an original spare part.

Bosch, Continental, Federal-Mogul Motorparts, GATES, GKN, GS1, Mahle, MANN-FILTER, MS Motorservice, Schaeffler, WABCO, ZF and the TecAlliance support the MAPP initiative. The exclusive use of original parts is intended to increase safety on the road.
